Bhairavam (2025): A Solid Action Drama with Room for Improvement

Bhairavam (2025): A Solid Action Drama with Room for Improvement

The Telugu film Bhairavam, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala and released on May 30, 2025, steps into the spotlight as an action drama centered around themes of brotherhood, loyalty, and justice. Featuring a talented ensemble cast led by Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Manchu Manoj, and Nara Rohith, the movie is a remake of the 2024 Tamil film Garudan and aims to captivate Telugu audiences with its rural narrative and intense action sequences.

At the heart of Bhairavam lies a compelling portrayal of complex relationships, brought to life through strong performances by its lead actors. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas delivers a commanding and heartfelt performance, anchoring the film with his presence. Both Manchu Manoj and Nara Rohith provide commendable support, imbuing their characters with emotional nuance that lends depth to the story.

Director Vijay Kanakamedala handles the film’s action scenes with skill, blending dynamic choreography with crisp execution. The technical aspects of the film, including Sricharan Pakala’s evocative musical score and the atmospheric cinematography, work harmoniously to enhance the storytelling and immerse viewers in the film’s rural setting.

Despite these strengths, Bhairavam struggles with pacing inconsistencies that occasionally hinder the narrative’s momentum. The screenplay, while serviceable, at times lapses into predictability, which may lessen the film’s impact on discerning audiences. Furthermore, some supporting characters remain underdeveloped, resulting in missed opportunities to enrich the story’s emotional resonance.

In summary, Bhairavam is a commendable effort that delivers engaging action and solid performances, making it an enjoyable watch for fans of the genre. While it may not fully capitalize on its narrative potential or offer groundbreaking storytelling, the film stands as a respectable addition to Telugu cinema’s action drama repertoire.

For viewers seeking intense drama combined with well-crafted action, Bhairavam provides a worthwhile cinematic experience.

In a shocking incident, a #Dalit man in #Gujarat’s #Morbi town was made to apologise while keeping his former employer’s footwear in his mouth, just for demanding his salary. The 21-year-old #NileshDalsaniya, his brother Mehul and a neighbour Bhavesh Makwana reached the office of Raniba Industries Pvt Ltd (RIPL) at around 7 pm on Thursday. Upon reaching, Nilesh requested his salary for 16 days he worked in the company in October. However, the owner #VibhutiPatel’s brother Om, as well as five employees of the company, allegedly assaulted him. According to the FIR filed by the police, Nilesh was taken to the roof of the commercial building , beaten with belt and also punched and kicked. “Vibhuti Patel forced me to take her chappal in my mouth and made me apologise… She warned me that I shall be killed if I ventured on Ravapar Road or if I dared to file a complaint,” the FIR said. Sharing further details of the incident, Pratipalsinh Zala Deputy Superintendent of Police (SC/ST cell), Morbi, Nilesh went to a nearby government hospital in the city. Efforts are on to arrest the culprit, he added further. Vibhuti had apparently told him that she was out of town and would pay her salary upon returning. However, days after Nilesh had called again, Om picked the phone and told him that he won’t get his salary and must not call his sister at odd hours. Nilesh had earlier joined the company in October 2 at a monthly salary of Rs 12,000. However on October 18, he was asked to leave the company, after which he joined another company. Since last two days we are watching this video from Odisha and everyone is blaming and cursing the @odisha_police . Fair Enough, Most of the times Police is at fault and they deserve this. We do have zero sympathy with Khaki. https://x.com/major_pawan/st/major_pawan/status/1836944734427787699/video/1 But Can we always trust the tears of a woman? Just because a woman is a Lawyer and daughter of a Senior Army Officer and also the Fiancée of an Army Officer does that mean that her version alone shall be taken as a Gospel truth. We are no one to give a verdict about who is right and who is wrong here. That's the job of the investigating agency but we believe that when the matter is in public domain then it must be there with completeness. And then only we shall make an opinion that who was right and who was wrong or if both of them were wrong in their own way. Here is the complete thread... First thing we like to make it is clear that it is not a Crime against Woman thing for sure. Because 3 out of the five accused are women and even the fiancée of the woman is a Man. So there is nothing like Men Vs Women here. Second question is Were the woman and her fiancé drunk at the time of the incident? Now listen to the @dcpbbsr first It all started when some locals started confronting the couple alleging that couple was involved in some obscene act inside the car. We do not support moral policing but just narrating the chain of incidents. After that the angry and furious lady went to the police station to lodge an FIR and teach those locals a lesson. Being a Lawyer and the daughter of a Senior Army Officer she expected some VVIP treatment at the Police station. But that did not happen and she became more furious. After that lots of arguments happened between her and the female cops. After that it continued whole night. Other officers arrived and allegations and counter allegations followed. FIR and counter FIR were lodged. In all these videos we can not see any aggression by the Male friend of the woman but Police detained him thinking that being a Man he will be an easy target. But he was released after the intervention of Senior Army Officers. Later in the morning they lodged an FIR against the woman and arrested her too. How the woman received such serious injuries that is the biggest question. Even if the woman was drunk and aggressive Police can not assault her in such a way. So in a way both of them were wrong in some way and proper investigation must be done without being influenced by who is whom and who is the daughter or son of whom. If policemen and policewomen used force and assaulted her in custody, then they must be punished. In short, the woman not able to digest the fact that she did not receive any special treatment from the Police for being a Lawyer and the daughter of a Senior Army officer and fiancée of an Army Officer. At the same time Police not able to tolerate that someone can threaten and argue with them inside their own Police station. And last but not least, the woman's health condition in the hospital CCTV footage is not as bad as it was visible during the press conference.
