Since last two days we are watching this video from Odisha and everyone is blaming and cursing the @odisha_police . Fair Enough, Most of the times Police is at fault and they deserve this. Just because a woman is a Lawyer and daughter of a Senior Army Officer and also the Fiancée of an Army Officer does that mean that her version alone shall be taken as a Gospel truth. We are no one to give a verdict about who is right and who is wrong here. That's the job of the investigating agency but we believe that when the matter is in public domain then it must be there with completeness. And then only we shall make an opinion that who was right and who was wrong or if both of them were wrong in their own way. Here is the complete thread... First thing we like to make it is clear that it is not a Crime against Woman thing for sure. Because 3 out of the five accused are women and even the fiancée of the woman is a Man. So there is nothing like Men Vs Women here. Second question is Were the woman and her fiancé drunk at the time of the incident? Now listen to the @dcpbbsr first It all started when some locals started confronting the couple alleging that couple was involved in some obscene act inside the car. We do not support moral policing but just narrating the chain of incidents. After that the angry and furious lady went to the police station to lodge an FIR and teach those locals a lesson. Being a Lawyer and the daughter of a Senior Army Officer she expected some VVIP treatment at the Police station. But that did not happen and she became more furious. After that lots of arguments happened between her and the female cops. After that it continued whole night. Other officers arrived and allegations and counter allegations followed. FIR and counter FIR were lodged. In all these videos we can not see any aggression by the Male friend of the woman but Police detained him thinking that being a Man he will be an easy target. But he was released after the intervention of Senior Army Officers. Later in the morning they lodged an FIR against the woman and arrested her too. How the woman received such serious injuries that is the biggest question. Even if the woman was drunk and aggressive Police can not assault her in such a way. So in a way both of them were wrong in some way and proper investigation must be done without being influenced by who is whom and who is the daughter or son of whom. If policemen and policewomen used force and assaulted her in custody, then they must be punished. In short, the woman not able to digest the fact that she did not receive any special treatment from the Police for being a Lawyer and the daughter of a Senior Army officer and fiancée of an Army Officer. At the same time Police not able to tolerate that someone can threaten and argue with them inside their own Police station. And last but not least, the woman's health condition in the hospital CCTV footage is not as bad as it was visible during the press conference.
